The proximity of the Shannon River and its Estuary gives the angler a wide variety of fishing disciplines to choose from, including game, sea and coarse. There are local gillies that can offer assistance and local knowledge.

Anglers have facilities for good salmon fishing on the River Shannon. Salmon can also be taken on the Fergus and Rine rivers nearby. During the mayfly season, there is excellent dapping for large trout on Lough Derg 26 miles away. There are a number of lakes in the vicinity where well-conditioned trout may be taken with wet or dry fly from March to the end of September. The River Rine flowing through the estate will appeal to those anglers preferring trout fishing to the loughs.
